What is Ecointegrity?

EcoIntegrity Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in South Australia and established by Roger Carthew of Carthew Corporation. It is the Australasian representative of a Belgian -based cooperative of environmental consultants (Eco-Conseil Entreprise-ECE) specialising in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

EcoIntegrity has been set up to help individuals, organisations and households improve their environmental performance by changing the way they do things in order to use less of resources, such as energy and water.

The primary tool we are using is the ‘lite’, smart environmental management approach, Ecomapping™ and its follow-on modules of ISO- / EMAS-Easy™ that enable it to be audited against international environmental management system standards. This approach has great international take-up and acceptance, particularly in the European Union where it has been rolled out to all 27 member countries.

In Australia, like Europe, over 90% of economic activity is generated by SMEs, which also employ most Australians.

However, small business seemingly has been neglected by big industry approaches whose tools for environmental management are too expensive and too complex for the day-to-day realities of a small enterprise.
